The Palm Tavern

I visited The Palm Tavern last evening to take part in their Wing Eating Contest! Unfortunately I was the only one who showed up to compete. So it was me against the wings! Each round was 20 of their JUMBO Wings in 5 Minutes! This was not an easy task with how massive and crispy they were! But I managed to get Round 1 and Round 2 done in the 5 minute time limit. On round 3 I just couldn't keep the speed up as I was getting fuller which made it harder to fight through this huge crispy and wings! I ended up getting all but 5 of those down! 55 wings in 15 minutes. I ended with a beer and a slice of their in house made Peanut Butter Pie! It was sooo delicious! I forgot to take a photo! But be sure to follow me on YouTube (Josh: The Goat) a video of event will be coming! From the moment I walked in the staff was sooo helpful and pleasant. The other patrons were all so kind, and were cheering me on! If you're in the general area swing by and try them out! On Sundays they 50 Wings! No better time to try some absolutely stellar wings!

Amazingly great tavern grub with top-notch staff and some of the best wait staff/bartenders you'll ever meet. The inclusive atmosphere makes smiles contagious at this hometown historic tavern. It's difficult to go without making at least one new friend, especially on a karaoke Friday night Cheers to our new favorite watering hole!

The Palm is always good. Great food, service, and atmosphere. So thankful to find it open for lunch on Father's Day. The house made chips are worth every calorie. Lighter and not greasy. Love them!!!!! Burger in lettuce wrap was amazing. I love their salmon and smashed potatoes with green beans and lemon hollandaise sauce.

This was my 1st time here & I absolutely loved it!! Food was great!! And Erica our bartender made excellent drinks! She was having a rough night so my friends i was there with, we made sure that we tipped her well! She was very appreciative!! Thank you Erica for being so pleasant and it was a pleasure meeting you! Look forward to coming back!!

Awesome experience here. I'm used to going places and seeing "Jumbo Wings" and seeing it as nothing but a marketing term. That is not the case here - these are J U M B O. Very good, smoky wings. Will come back for more. We also got a cheese steak which was surprisingly great.

I live 2hrs away but when I seen this place pop up on the map on my travels, I had to stop and check it out (because of me name). It was a great little place to have a beer. Quiet and the bush latte was cold.

At first glance, the Palm looks like what could best be described as your typical country dive bar - which it sort of is, but with some pleasant enhancements. The decor in the bar area is unique, there is a quote regarding the love of music overhead as you walk through to the traditional seating. I can't explain the allure of the place exactly, only that it's got that "slowed down" vibe that seems to be lost in a world of 2025 chain bars/gastropubs. Admittedly, I have always been a sucker for places like this - but the Palm did not disappoint. We were a party of 5, my wife, myself, our three kids (12, 7, 3) and while we were the only family with young kids in there at the time (and my 3-year-old was absolutely post-nap second energy wind) nobody seemed to mind. They have a chalkboard with daily soup specials that looked like someone took the time to make fancy. The food was typical of a bar, I wouldn't say it was out of this world (I had the diablo burger) but it was above-average for a bar setting. My daughter had the kids burger which was sort of lack-lustre, my wife had a roast beef sandwich (complete with sides of horseradish and Au Jus) which was not only massive, but "really really good" and let me tell you she's the food critic between us. I liked that the floors are sort of worn, it aided in the atmosphere feeling like your local family pub. Service was great, and that's considering that the bartender was alone, with 6-8 people at the bar, and probably another 12-15 people seated at the table. She was a rock star and absolutely the reason we will be back. I liked this place, a lot - give it a try!

On a 1-5, this place is a 10! We only tried it because of a good clipp coupon offer. Best coupon I've bought. Maddie was our server. She was amazing. We got 12 wings. 6 buffalo and 6 sweet thai chili. They were SUPERB! FANTASTIC! TOP-NOTCH! saucy but not too saucy. I got the diablo burger. My husband got the north shore triple decker. We both really enjoyed them and could only eat half because they were so big. The fries were really good, too. I did get extreme heartburn that night. It's not the restaurants fault. Im the one who chose to order the spiciest burger on the menu. So I can't get that again, but there are several other things I want to try. Someone's steak sandwich looked really, really good. The cook definitely cares about the food they serve!
